No matter what your seniority, remote working policies tend to be company wide nowadays, whereas 10 to 15 years ago when I was starting out, working remotely was typically reserved for the more senior members of staff (Manager and above).

What Is A Remote Job Like?

Personally, I work a 9-5 hybrid remote job at the moment with 1 day in the office and 4 at home. I love the remote part of my jobs as it gives me so much freedom to foster a better work-life balance than a full time office based role.

The biggest benefits are no commute and more time to focus on hobbies and even day to day chores that I used to have to cram in at the weekend.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a digital nomad, remote jobs that enable you to work from anywhere enable you to see the world or set up in your favourite location.

This way of working is becoming more and more common and makes remote work a brilliant option for those who aren’t, or don’t want to be, tied to a single location.
